Veteran Kumawood actress, Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu, has strongly responded to criticisms from fashion commentator Charlie Dior, who recently claimed she had poor fashion sense.
During an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM monitored by News & Vibes, Mercy Asiedu dismissed Dior’s remarks, suggesting that those who criticize her style lack meaningful occupations.
She emphasized that her fashion choices are primarily for herself and her family, particularly her husband.
According to Mercy, her husband’s opinion is the only one that truly matters to her. If he disapproves of her attire, she changes it to something he prefers.
She expressed little concern for the opinions of outsiders, stating that only those without important tasks or responsibilities would spend time critiquing her fashion on social media.
Mercy’s firm response reflects her confidence in her choices and the value she places on her family’s input over public criticism.
“I dress for my husband and myself. If I wear a dress today and my husband disapproves of it, I will remove it and wear something he approves of. Those criticizing my sense of fashion are bunch of jobless beings. If you have something keeping you busy, you won’t sit on social media to criticize my outfit.”
