Herbert Wigwe’s Father Reportedly Drags Granddaughter to Court Over Estate Dispute

Herbert Igwe's father allegedly sues granddaughter over inheritance dispute

Shyngle Wigwe, father of the late billionaire and former Group CEO of Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, has allegedly taken legal action against his 26-year-old granddaughter, Otutochi Wigwe, over matters concerning the late CEO’s estate.

This development comes months after reports in October 2024 claimed that the Wigwe family intended to disinherit Herbert Wigwe’s children by altering his will. The family, however, strongly denied these allegations at the time.

Recent reports indicate that a court summons linked to the Lagos State Judicial Division has surfaced, showing Shyngle Wigwe suing his granddaughter. The legal documents, filed under suit number ID/7735, FMP/2024, reveal that the dispute centres on the administration of Herbert Wigwe’s estate. A court order dated November 18, 2024, reinforced the proceedings.
