Nollywood actress Olayinka Solomon has opened up about a terrifying experience during her pregnancy, revealing that she nearly lost her life after fasting while expecting.
The actress, who recently welcomed her second child, shared her ordeal on social media, urging caution for pregnant women who may attempt fasting.
Solomon recalled the intense struggle she faced, describing it as “not easy” and reflecting on how difficult fasting was during pregnancy. In her words, “Mo ti fe ku” (I almost died), highlighting the serious physical toll it took on her health.
This revelation comes shortly after the actress also opened up about her battle with postpartum depression, a condition she faced a month after giving birth to her fourth child.
Solomon shared her emotional struggles on Instagram, questioning other mothers about how they coped with similar challenges. She also mentioned experiencing irritability and severe memory loss, which further added to her difficulties.
Her honest confession has sparked discussions online, with many expressing their concern and solidarity with her, especially as the Muslim community embarks on the annual Ramadan fasting period.
