Kumasi, Ghana – A dramatic scene unfolded in Kumasi-Adum yesterday as Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, lost his temper at personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) who arrived at a fire scene without water in their tender.
In a video circulating on social media, the visibly frustrated minister confronted the firefighters, accusing them of pretending to work while the blaze remained unextinguished.
He expressed disappointment over their failure to bring water, yet creating the impression that they were actively fighting the fire.
As tensions escalated, Dr. Amoakohene immediately ordered the fire service personnel to leave the scene with their empty tender, visibly displeased with their inefficiency in handling the emergency.
The incident has sparked public outcry, with many questioning the preparedness of the fire service and the overall state of emergency response in the country.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the matter.
