The Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has commended the Administrator of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), Paul Adjei, for his work in advancing education delivery.
Receiving Adjei at the Manhyia Palace on May 8, 2026, Otumfuo said improvements in the education sector were becoming evident and encouraged the GETFund boss to keep up the momentum.
Meanwhile, Otumfuo urged him to sustain his humility and dedication.
“Issues about schools are falling into place. I thank him so much and encourage him to keep up the good work. He must remain humble as always. I have been following his works. He is doing well,” the Asantehene said.
Adjei visited the Manhyia Palace purposely to present a report on a task given to him by Otumfuo when he assumed office as GETFund Administrator.
“When I was appointed GETFund Administrator, I came here, and Otumfuo gave me a task. I have completed the task and came to present a report,” he said.
The GETFund Administrator added that the visit also coincided with the Asantehene’s birthday and was an opportunity to seek his blessings and counsel.
Otumfuo has long positioned education as a cornerstone of development in the Ashanti Kingdom, supporting scholarships, school infrastructure, and teacher training initiatives.
GETFund plays a central role in financing education infrastructure, student support, and learning materials across Ghana.
