According to Ayisha, her connection with Annica dates back to 2008 when she was introduced to her by Adwoa, the wife of musician Kofi Nti.
Over time, Ayisha said she had occasionally sent Annica small amounts of money, between 50 to 100 dollars, as acts of goodwill, without any expectation of repayment.
However, things took an unexpected turn when, in the early hours of one morning, Ayisha woke up to a message from Annica on Facebook Messenger.
Annica allegedly reached out to Ayisha in a moment of financial need, asking for $3,500 to support a show her husband, Okyeame Kwame, was organizing. Annica assured Ayisha that the amount would be repaid once the event concluded.
Though Ayisha didn’t have the full amount, she managed to send Annica $3,000, with the understanding that the loan would be repaid within a month.
However, months passed, and Ayisha did not receive the repayment. Feeling hurt and betrayed, Ayisha reached out to Kofi Nti’s wife, Adwoa, and musician Kwabena Kwabena, hoping for mediation in the situation.
To her dismay, Annica reportedly denied owing her any money, suggesting instead that the money had been a gift.
