In a groundbreaking move, Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has been included in the Creative Arts and Design subject of the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The exam question, 5(c) in Section B, asks students to write brief notes on one of three composers, including Black Sherif, focusing on their hometown, genre, a notable work, and contribution to society.
“Write short notes on any of the following composers; focusing on his hometown, genre of work, one example of his works and contribution to society.
(i) Ephraim Amu

(iii) Black Sherif”
