Couple Allegedly Ghosts Vendor After Taking Wedding Dress on Credit

A bridal gown vendor has accused a newlywed couple of refusing to pay for a wedding dress they took on credit, despite repeated attempts to collect the payment months after their ceremony.

The incident, which has sparked outrage on social media, highlights the vendor’s frustration over the couple’s alleged dishonesty and lack of accountability.

According to the vendor, she had originally designed the gown for herself, but the bride-to-be expressed interest in wearing it for her wedding.

Due to financial constraints, the bride and her family requested the dress on credit, assuring the vendor that payment would be made after the wedding. They claimed that money received from guests during the ceremony would cover the cost.

With just a week left before the wedding, the vendor reluctantly agreed to send the dress to Liberia, where the bride was located, as the couple was based in the United States.

After receiving the gown, however, the couple allegedly cut off all communication, refusing to respond to calls and messages regarding the payment.

The vendor revealed that before the wedding, the bride’s entire family had reached out, pleading for the dress to be sent since she had no alternative outfit for the occasion.

Once the dress was delivered, the vendor expected the promised payment, but instead, she was met with complete silence.

Calls went unanswered, messages were ignored, and every attempt to collect the debt was met with indifference from both the bride and her husband.

Feeling deceived, the vendor took to social media to expose the couple, hoping to pressure them into fulfilling their financial obligation.

As the story gained traction, individuals who knew the couple reportedly stepped in to mediate.

This eventually led to a partial payment, but the full amount remained unpaid. The vendor expressed disappointment, stating that the couple exploited the situation, knowing she was in Nigeria and had limited means to take action against them in the United States.

The incident has sparked discussions online, with many supporting the vendor and condemning the couple’s actions. Some have suggested legal action, while others have criticized the growing trend of individuals taking advantage of small business owners.

The vendor remains firm in her demand for full payment, stating that no entrepreneur should be subjected to such treatment after investing time, effort, and resources into their craft.
