Sophia Momodu, the baby mama of Nigerian music star Davido, has raised concerns about the singer’s ability to provide a stable and secure environment for their daughter Imade, citing the tragic death of his three-year-old son Ifeanyi at his home.
In her legal arguments, Sophia emphasized that Davido’s household may not be the best place for Imade’s proper upbringing, given the “unfortunate and questionable circumstances” surrounding Ifeanyi’s death.
“The Applicant is married to another woman, and they live together. The proper upbringing of our daughter by another cannot be guaranteed,” Sophia’s legal team stated.
Sophia’s concerns have sparked a heated debate about parenting and responsibility, with many fans and followers weighing in on social media.
Davido has since responded, expressing his hurt and frustration at Sophia’s references to Ifeanyi’s death, and accusing her of using their late son as a “weapon” in their custody battle.
The high-profile dispute has put a spotlight on the challenges of co-parenting and the importance of prioritizing a child’s well-being and safety above all else.
