Sophia Momodu, the babymama of Nigerian music star Davido, has stated that the death of his three-year-old son Ifeanyi at his home highlights her concerns about Davido’s ability to care for their daughter Imade.
In her legal arguments, Sophia emphasized that the tragic incident raises questions about Davido’s capacity to provide a safe environment for Imade.
“The fact that the Applicant lost his son in his house in rather unfortunate and questionable circumstances shows that our daughter cannot be placed in the custody of the Applicant,” her legal team stated.
Nigerian music star Davido has withdrawn his custody case against his ex-partner Sophia Momodu, citing emotional distress caused by Sophia’s references to his late son Ifeanyi in her legal arguments.
Davido had been seeking joint custody of their daughter Imade, but Sophia’s legal team argued that the singer’s ability to provide a safe environment for their child was questionable, given the circumstances surrounding Ifeanyi’s tragic death at Davido’s home.
Davido took to social media to express his hurt and frustration, feeling that Sophia was using their late son’s memory to gain an advantage in the custody battle.
“All I asked for was joint custody…but y’all wanna act like y’all can’t read! SMH I’m off this…y’all be blessed and I pray this never happens to you,” he wrote.
Sophia’s comments have sparked a heated debate about parenting and responsibility, with many fans and followers weighing in on social media. Davido has yet to publicly respond to Sophia’s concerns, but the high-profile dispute has put a spotlight on the challenges of co-parenting and the importance of prioritizing a child’s well-being and safety above all else.
