Diana Asamoah counters Owusu Bempah's predictions against NPP
Gospel singer Diana Asamoah firmly believes the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will emerge victorious in the 2024 general elections, disregarding any negative predictions.
Addressing a crowd at an NPP campaign event in the Ashanti Region on October 5, 2024, she highlighted the government’s significant accomplishments, including the Free Senior High School (SHS) initiative, as factors that would contribute to their anticipated win.
She used the Bible story of King Hezekiah as an example, where Prophet Isaiah predicted his death, but after prayer and faith, God gave him 15 additional years of life.
According to her, in 2 Kings 2:1-7, Isaiah predicted Hezekiah’s death, but Hezekiah prayed and God changed his mind due to Hezekiah’s devotion.
Similarly, the NPP administration, comprised of Akufo-Addo, Bawumia, and NAPO, will not concede defeat.
She confidently declared in Twi that our positive actions, such as the Free SHS program, will guarantee that any negative predictions against us will not be successful—we will emerge victorious in the 2024 elections.
She made her remarks following predictions from certain religious leaders, such as Rev. Owusu-Bempah, who had just prayed for NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama at a gathering with the clergy on October 1, 2024.
While praying, Owusu-Bempah predicted that God would be pleased with Mahama’s compassionate nature, resulting in his re-election as president.
The prophecy has caused different responses on social media, as many are surprised due to Owusu-Bempah’s close connection to the NPP.
Nevertheless, Diana Asamoah is firmly convinced that the NPP’s past achievements will result in their triumph in the upcoming elections.
