Ghanaian actor Don Little has shared a frightening experience from a recent layover in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where a simple currency mix-up nearly led to his arrest.

The actor, who had rushed to catch his flight out of Ghana, failed to convert his cedis into foreign currency before departure. Upon arrival in Ethiopia, he found himself stranded and hungry at the airport with no usable cash. In desperation, he approached a fellow traveler and offered to exchange Ghanaian cedis for Ethiopian birr.

Instead of receiving help, he was accused of attempting to scam or steal, and the situation quickly escalated. The confrontation drew attention from bystanders, and security was nearly called to intervene.
