Kofi Owusu Aduonum has finally addressed public curiosity surrounding his marriage to Afua Asantewaa, but his response leans more toward calm appeal than disclosure.
Speaking on UTV’s ‘United Showbiz’, he urged Ghanaians to step back from the ongoing conversation and redirect their attention to prayers for the couple instead of speculation about their private life.
He acknowledged that, like many relationships, theirs has not been without difficulties, but emphasized that he is unwilling to turn those personal moments into public discussion.
“I will plead with you that we should put all our arsenals down… I wouldn’t want to be the topic of discussion, so the only thing I would request from Ghanaians for now is prayers. We have children, and I don’t want them to come across these things on social media,” he said.
According to him, efforts have already been made behind the scenes to resolve whatever concerns had fueled public attention. He added that direct engagement between him and Asantewaa has helped settle the matter.
“I can state with authority that everything has been resolved. We have met in person, so there are no issues between us. All we are asking from Ghanaians is prayers,” Mr Aduonum added.
