Ghanaian actress Joyce Boakye recently opened up about the challenges she faced due to her delayed ability to conceive.
In an emotional interview with ZionFelix monitored by News & Vibes, Joyce shared how her nine-year marriage ultimately fell apart because she couldn’t have children during that time.
Joyce explained that after the separation, her ex-husband reclaimed many of the valuable items he had purchased for her throughout their marriage.
She mentioned losing a plot of land, a house, and a car as part of the fallout.
According to Joyce, if she had been able to give birth earlier, she believes she might have been able to hold onto these properties and avoid the collapse of her marriage.
Reflecting on the situation, Joyce stressed how important it is, in her view, for women to have children, especially in cultural contexts where childbirth is highly valued.
Now, after finally becoming a mother, she expressed deep gratitude, particularly to Ohemaa Fertile Home, a fertility clinic that supported her on her journey to motherhood.
Joyce is now hopeful about expanding her family and dreams of giving birth to twins following the birth of her first child.
Despite the hardships, she remains optimistic about her future, embracing the joys of motherhood and looking forward to what lies ahead.
