Ghanaian singer Akwaboah has made it clear that he has no intention of composing songs for political parties ahead of the 2024 elections, despite the trend among some of his colleagues in the music industry.
During an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM, the talented musician expressed his decision not to create any political-themed songs, emphasizing that he doesn’t want to be associated with any political party.
However, Akwaboah mentioned that while he won’t write songs for political campaigns, he is open to performing for political events if approached.
He clarified that his involvement in such performances would be strictly for business purposes and not an endorsement of any party.
The ‘Posti Me’ hitmaker further explained that his priority is to create music that fosters unity, rather than division. He expressed interest in composing a song for Ghana or one that promotes togetherness among citizens.
Akwaboah stressed that he would refrain from any music project that might cause division or fail to benefit the nation as a whole.
This stance highlights his commitment to using his musical talents for positive and unifying causes rather than aligning with political ideologies.
