King Paluta, a renowned musician, has addressed speculation surrounding his recent appearance alongside Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s 2024 Presidential Candidate and Vice President.
He clarified that his presence at the campaign event was purely coincidental and not a political endorsement. Paluta explained that he had accepted an invitation to meet Bawumia, whom he respects as a prominent figure in the country.
He denied receiving any payment for his appearance, stating that any compensation was solely for covering expenses such as fuel and logistics. Paluta emphasized that his services as an entertainer come at a cost, and his presence at the event was simply a part of his personal engagements.
He urged his fans not to assume his political affiliations based on this single appearance, hinting that he may attend events for other parties in the future. Paluta’s clarification comes after rumors swirled about his alleged support for the New Patriotic Party.
The musician’s fans had expressed concern over his involvement in political activities, fearing it may compromise his artistic integrity. By setting the record straight, Paluta aims to reassure his fans that his primary focus remains his music career.
