Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has revealed details about his personal life, disclosing that while he has two children, he has no plans to marry their mother.
Speaking in a recent episode of Nollywood Hardcore, The Legend’s Untold Story, the actor explained that after his failed marriage to his ex-wife from Asaba, he remained single for over a decade.
Despite having two children with another woman, he stated that their relationship does not align with his vision of marriage.
“The mother of my kids is not the kind of woman I want to get married to. So, we are just friends. She has two kids for me, but that doesn’t mean I have to marry her. She is just my friend, and I’m doing what I can,” Anuku shared.
He emphasized his desire for true love, stating that he refuses to settle for a marriage based on circumstances rather than genuine affection.
“I like to be married and be happy in the marriage. I have dated for a couple of years and I know that she wasn’t going to be my wife. I like to be in love with somebody and not just be infatuated. Agape love, the greatest of love, is what I want in any woman I’m going to get married to,” he added.
Anuku also expressed his fear of getting involved with Nigerian women again, citing the emotional trauma he endured from his previous marriage. According to him, he has always felt more compatible with Caucasian women, having had several relationships with them while living abroad.
His revelations have sparked mixed reactions, with some social media users praising his honesty, while others question his stance on marriage and relationships.
