I met my first husband at age 16 - Obaa Cee
Popular TikToker Obaa Cee has revealed in an interview on the Delay Show monitored by News & Vibes that she met her husband when she was still very young between the ages of 16 and 17. She said since she wasn’t interested in school at the time, she was trading and she met her husband through that.
According to her, her husband was even too shy or afraid to talk to her or propose directly to her so he approached her male friend who also refused to tell her about the proposal. However, one day she visited her friend and her friend forced him to propose to her.
She turned down the proposal because of the kind of job he does but he never gave up and kept asking her out for 4 years until she agreed. Whilst dating, he got her pregnant which led to marriage.
In spite of the marriage, they lived separately and only met on weekends because of the nature of their jobs.
She however expressed regrets at marrying him since he seemed irresponsible and he later divorced her.
“I met my first husband during trade he used to deal with construction stuff, I was 16 or 17 and he was 19. He couldn’t even propose to me directly. He tried doing it through on one of my mates and he said he can’t do that for him but once when I visited this my friend, he told his friend to propose and I said “trek men I don’t like them.”
“So he kept at it for 4 years before i acepted to date him. We dated and I gave birth to my first girl so before the 2nd born, he did my marital rites. I still lived with my parents because of our kind of job. We met on only Saturdays and Sundays. So I visited on Saturday to cook for him and leave on Sunday.
