Celebrated Ghanaian highlife artiste Kwabena Kwabena, born George Kwabena Adu, has expressed his disappointment over what he describes as deliberate neglect from the gospel music industry regarding his latest gospel-themed EP, God of Restoration.
During a recent interview on Hitz FM, the ‘Tokro’ hitmaker disclosed that his latest spiritual project has not received the support or visibility it deserves, and he suspects that his identity as a secular artiste may be fueling an unspoken bias.
He revealed that he has received credible information pointing to a coordinated decision among key players in the gospel community to avoid promoting the EP. According to him, this silence is not coincidental but part of an intentional effort to isolate his work from mainstream gospel promotion.
Despite the lack of support, Kwabena Kwabena remains unfazed. He explained that the project was not a strategic move for public acclaim but rather a personal expression of gratitude for the blessings and talent that have sustained his music career.
He also challenged the perceived division between gospel and secular artists, questioning why contributions from artists outside the gospel circle are sometimes treated with suspicion or resistance.
In closing, he reaffirmed that his commitment to the EP stems from spiritual purpose, not public validation. Regardless of industry reception, he believes the project will fulfill its divine mission.
