The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is in mourning following the tragic death of a fourth-year student, Joana Deladem Yabani.
Her lifeless body was discovered near the University’s Disability and Rehabilitation Center in the early hours of Thursday, February 27th, 2025, around 5:00 a.m.
Joana, a Biological Sciences student, was identified as the victim.
The university’s Security Services confirmed the incident, sending shockwaves across the campus and beyond. KNUST has assured the public that a comprehensive investigation is being conducted in collaboration with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), KNUST Internal Security, and the University Health Services to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
