Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, popularly known as Koka, recently took to social media to offer a public apology to award-winning gospel singer Ohemaa Mercy.
This gesture follows a turbulent period marked by serious accusations and legal disputes, which has affected their previous working relationship.
In his message, Koka extended his apologies to those who felt let down by the recent events and thanked supporters who stood by him throughout his challenges.
His public admission has drawn attention to the series of events that led to this moment.
Koka, a well-known entertainment critic and artist manager, previously worked as Ohemaa Mercy’s road manager and marketer.
However, their partnership took a turn for the worse after Koka claimed that Ohemaa Mercy had excluded him from several projects.
Their professional relationship deteriorated further when Koka demanded an unpaid sum of GH₵8,500, which he alleged was owed to him by the gospel artist.
When Ohemaa Mercy did not promptly resolve the payment issue, Koka reportedly made threats both online and in private.
His actions escalated to the point where Ohemaa Mercy filed a complaint with the police, citing concerns for her safety.
She claimed that Koka had given her a deadline to repay the money, and if she failed to do so, he would retaliate. According to reports from Angel FM, Koka was accused of threatening to send thugs after her.
Despite multiple invitations from the police for questioning, Koka did not respond, which eventually led to his arrest in Accra.
During court proceedings, Koka maintained that his words were never meant to cause harm and explained that his actions were only motivated by a desire to recover the owed money.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charges, insisting that the threats were not meant to be taken seriously.
This apology marks a significant moment in the ongoing legal battle, as Koka seeks to mend fences with those he may have wronged. However, the case continues to be a matter of public interest.
“FRIENDS AND FANS OF KOKA… I AM SAFELY BACK FROM HIBERNATION ALTHOUGH NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE I AM A BETTER PERSON. GOD KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING. I THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT.
