Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari has revealed the reasoning behind her decision to maintain a level of privacy regarding her family within the media sphere.
During a recent interview with Giovanni Caleb on 3FM monitored by News & Vibes, the talented actress, who also delves into movie production, expressed her desire to establish a boundary between herself and her fans.
Nadia elaborated on the importance of having her fans appreciate her solely for her acting prowess without delving into the intricacies of her personal life or domestic affairs.
She emphasized the significance of maintaining a professional image distinct from her private family life, underscoring her belief that striking this balance was crucial in fostering a connection based on her artistry rather than her personal circumstances.
Nadia further explained that she prefers not to have media attention infiltrating her personal space, especially for the sake of shielding her children from excessive public scrutiny.
Moreover, the actress shared a unique anecdote about how she acquired the moniker ‘Beyoncé,’ a nickname that some individuals bestowed upon her following a memorable role in a movie. Nadia disclosed that she adopted the alias herself due to its resonance with her, a choice that has transcended time, leading to ongoing references to her as Beyoncé.
This alias stands as a testament to the enduring impact of her performances and the lasting connection she maintains with her audience.
“I believe in creating boundaries with my fans. Don’t get me wrong, I love my fans but I feel like they have to know me for what I do as an actress but not what happens in my personal life. I feel like the media doesn’t need to be all over my personal life hence the reason I created the boundary. Whenever I go to a place with my family, I always check the environment to see who we might bump into. That media attention is not healthy for my kids.”
