Medikal has taken a fresh stance on his career priorities, revealing that his fulfilment as an artist no longer depends on how widely his music is streamed or played. For the rapper — whose real name is Samuel Adu Frimpong — the real reward now comes from knowing that even a small number of supporters truly enjoy what he creates.

Speaking during a conversation on 3Music TV, he explained that his current mindset centres on personal creativity rather than the pressure to produce hit songs that dominate the airwaves. Whether a track becomes a national anthem or reaches only a few listeners, he says the love for the craft remains the same.

Although his popular track Shoulder continues to receive massive attention across clubs and radio stations, Medikal revealed that two of his own favourites, Baddie and DND, haven’t yet achieved the same level of exposure. One track has become a party favourite, while the others quietly wait for their breakthrough.

He believes those overlooked songs carry themes and expressions that resonate deeply with listeners — especially Baddie, which he describes as bold, edgy, and highly relatable for people who appreciate its daring content.

Medikal’s message is clear: he is driven more by authentic connection than by commercial charts — and the music he values most may still be waiting to be discovered by the masses.
