Missing 3-year-old twin girl found dead with her tongue removed

The community of Dagombaline, in the Asokore Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti Region in Ghana, was shocked to learn that a three-year-old twin girl had gone missing for three days. Then it was announced that her lifeless body had been discovered.

The fact that her tongue was missing added to the unsettling circumstances.

When young football players in the community discovered the dead while removing their ball from a facility that once housed police officers but undergoing renovations, it was a somber realization.

Taslima Labaran, the victim, disappeared on Thursday. Her mother was quite persistent in trying to find her, and even went so far as to file an official police complaint.

The distraught mother, Rukaya Muntari, sobbed as she described her final moments with her daughter who went missing and expressed her dissatisfaction with the futile search.

As part of their ongoing investigation, police officials promptly moved the body to the morgue following the unfortunate discovery, assisted by members of the community.
