Mother and Baby Perish in Road Accident After Being Denied Shelter by Child’s Father

A deeply tragic incident has gripped social media after a Nigerian woman and her baby reportedly lost their lives in a road accident, just moments after being turned away by the child’s father.

The woman, identified as Teemah, is said to have been in a relationship with a man named Taiwo Odushina, which resulted in her pregnancy.

Following the birth of their child, Taiwo allegedly made living arrangements for her in Ibadan while he remained in Ikorodu, Lagos.

Seven months after delivering their baby, Teemah visited Taiwo’s residence to confront him about his continued absence in their lives and to seek clarity on why she and the child were not welcomed to live with him.

However, her hopes were crushed when he refused to allow her into the house and insisted she return to Ibadan that same day.

Efforts to get assistance from his family reportedly proved futile, as his father also supported the decision to deny her and the baby shelter.

Left with no other choice, Teemah boarded a commercial bus heading back to Ibadan that same evening.

Sadly, the journey ended in horror. The vehicle was involved in a severe crash that claimed both her life and that of her infant child.

Eyewitness accounts indicate that the crash was so gruesome that the baby’s body was scattered at the scene, and Teemah sustained fatal injuries with broken limbs and severe trauma. Her phone was also destroyed in the accident.

Following the crash, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officials were able to retrieve her SIM card and contacted her family.

It is alleged that Taiwo later visited the morgue to confirm their identities but showed minimal concern and failed to notify her relatives himself.

Friends of the deceased have since come forward, revealing that Teemah endured emotional and verbal abuse throughout her relationship.

They claimed she had long suffered in silence, clinging to the hope that her partner would eventually take responsibility and accept her and the child.

The tragedy has sparked outrage online, with many calling for accountability and expressing sorrow over the heartbreaking end of a young mother and her innocent baby.
