Veteran Ghanaian hiplife singer, Mzbel, has dismissed rumors that the late musician Castro is the father of her son, Adepa.
The speculation, which was reignited by her former friend Afia Schwarzenegger, has been making waves on social media.
Mzbel, whose real name is Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, acknowledged that she and Castro were close in the past but clarified that by the time her son was born, they had not been in contact for six years.
Although they were once part of the same music circle, their friendship faded over time.
Castro mysteriously disappeared in July 2014 while on a vacation at Ada. Mzbel pointed out that he was still alive when Adepa was born, but they were no longer friends by then.
Despite addressing the rumors, Mzbel refused to reveal the identity of her son’s actual father. She emphasized that she prefers to keep her personal life private, as she has observed that making relationships public often invites unnecessary scrutiny.
According to her, if she ever separates from her son’s father, no one will have anything to gossip about. However, once his identity is known, people would feel entitled to comment on her private affairs, something she wants to avoid.
Mzbel’s response has sparked further conversations online, with fans weighing in on her decision to keep her son’s father’s identity under wraps.
