Kwesi Ahwoi has caused stir in the political space following his advice to Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
According to the founding member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof Opoku-Agyemang must be ever ready to be president of Ghana because no one thought John Mahama would be president of Ghana but it happened.
“John Mahama was not ready to be president at the time but nature schemed things in such a way that President Mills had to give way to John Mahama. Anything can happen, so Naana, be ever prepared…”
He further reminded all those present about how death took away the life of president John Mills to pave way for Mahama to be president.
John Atta Mills, the president of Ghana, died at the age of 68 after fighting throat cancer.
His vice president, John Dramani Mahama, was sworn in as his successor at a ceremony in the nation’s capital.
Mr. Atta Mills has been the president since 2009.
Jane was a former Education Minister and also served as first female Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast.
She was Mahama’s running mate in the 2020 presidential elections where with a majority of the votes, New Patriotic Party (NPP) incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo was re-elected in the first round of voting.
