The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has used its Christmas and New Year message to reflect on its first year in government, highlighting efforts to rebuild public confidence, stabilise the economy, and strengthen state institutions.
In a statement issued by the party’s National Secretariat on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and signed by General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC acknowledged the mandate given to it by Ghanaians and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering on its campaign promises.
The party said the past year had been guided by deliberate policy actions aimed at restoring trust in governance, tackling economic challenges, and laying a foundation for sustainable growth, with a strong emphasis on social protection, discipline, and accountability.
“This festive season marks one year since Ghanaians entrusted the NDC with the responsibility to govern. The party fully recognises this duty and remains committed to translating its vision into tangible improvements in the lives of the people,” the statement said.
Looking ahead, the NDC outlined priorities for the new year, including economic recovery, job creation for the youth, strengthening public institutions, and improving living standards.
The party assured the public that it remains focused on results-oriented governance and responsive leadership, stressing that discipline and accountability will continue to guide government actions.
According to the statement, the NDC is determined to sustain efforts to stabilise the economy and implement policies that directly improve livelihoods, even as it manages public expectations in the year ahead.
While extending Christmas and New Year greetings to Ghanaians at home and abroad, the message also served as a reaffirmation of the party’s resolve to fully deliver on its governing mandate.
