Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, says he won’t let Ghanaian comedian OB Amponsah off the hook for using his name during a recent comedy show — and he’s planning to hit him where it hurts: his pocket.
The former running mate on the NPP presidential ticket revealed that OB Amponsah’s jokes came at a cost — and now, it’s time to pay up.
According to Napo, the comedian leveraged his name during a performance and should therefore share part of the revenue earned from the show.
“I’m taking money from him,” Napo firmly declared, adding that steps are already underway to get his lawyers involved.
He stated that his legal team will be reaching out to OB Amponsah soon to officially demand a share of the earnings.
The politician made it clear he won’t let the matter slide without compensation, even if it was all in the name of humor.
Whether it’s satire or not, Napo believes entertainers must be accountable when profiting off the identities of public figures.
Now, all eyes are on OB Amponsah’s response — will he laugh it off or lawyer up?
