In a move against online fraud, Christian Boakye-Yiadom, the Founder and CEO of CEQA Foods and Beverages Ghana Limited, renowned for its Pizzaman-Chickenman restaurants, has spearheaded efforts to apprehend three individuals accused of operating fake Google accounts under the brand’s name to deceive unsuspecting customers.
The saga unfolded as the company, known for its delectable offerings, became aware of nefarious activities conducted in its name on the internet.
Boakye-Yiadom swiftly initiated investigations, leading to the identification of the perpetrators.
Subsequently, coordinated efforts between law enforcement and private security teams resulted in the arrest of two suspects in Sogakope, located in the Volta Region of Ghana.
Authorities were stunned to discover peculiar items believed to be associated with traditional spiritual practices, commonly referred to as “juju,” among the possessions of the apprehended individuals.
The unearthing of these items has sparked curiosity and raised questions about the motives behind the scam operation.
The suspects were identified as Michael Agbesi, Isaac Asiamah and Mawuli Soglavi.
The legal proceedings following the arrests have now shifted to the Donyina Circuit Court, where the case is under careful examination.
