A war of words has erupted between Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei Duah, leader of the Philadelphia Movement, and the Christian Council of Ghana.
At the center of the controversy is Prophet Adom Kyei Duah’s claim that he has been divinely instructed to replace images of Jesus Christ with his own.
The Christian Council has denounced Prophet Adom Kyei Duah’s assertion, labeling it a false teaching.
However, the prophet remains undeterred, warning the Council to respect his ministry and person.
In a stern address, Prophet Adom Kyei Duah emphasized that his ministry is on a divine mission to reenact the Passion of Christ, correcting inaccuracies in existing depictions.
Prophet Adom Kyei Duah’s message to the Council was clear: “Respect the elderly, respect men of God, respect!” He cautioned that failure to do so would have consequences, hinting at a divine reckoning. The prophet’s followers have rallied around him, defending his claims as a genuine revelation from God.
As the standoff continues, religious leaders and followers are taking sides. Some see Prophet Adom Kyei Duah as a true prophet, while others view his claims as heretical.
The Christian Council’s response to the prophet’s warning is eagerly awaited, as the situation threatens to split the Christian community. With tensions running high, one thing is certain – the controversy surrounding Prophet Adom Kyei Duah’s claims will not fade away anytime soon.
