Gospel music sensation Selina Boateng has revealed that her marriage to Isaac Berchie has officially come to an end.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM’s drive-time program, the award-winning artiste confirmed she is divorced, answering “yes” without hesitation when asked directly about her marital status.
Boateng, who was married for six years, said she feels no shame about the split and has been fortunate not to face social stigma since the separation. While she declined to share the details behind the breakup, she took the opportunity to offer guidance to young people considering marriage.
She urged prospective couples to take time to truly know their partners before walking down the aisle and cautioned against letting outside voices dictate such a personal decision, noting that “those days are long gone.”
Selina Boateng and Isaac Berchie were wed on December 7, 2019, at the Church of Pentecost Magazine Maakro Central in Kumasi, in a ceremony attended by loved ones and fellow gospel musicians.
The singer’s candid admission has sparked conversations online, with many commending her openness about such a personal matter.
