Nigerian music star Davido has accused his baby mama, Sophia Momodu, of making unreasonable and outlandish demands in their ongoing custody battle over their daughter Imade.
According to court documents, Davido claims that Momodu has requested a lump sum of $19,600 annually and $800 monthly for a nanny, which he deemed excessive and unrealistic.
The singer also alleged that Momodu rejected his offer to purchase a N200 million apartment for her and Imade, instead demanding that he continue to pay rent annually.
Davido’s lawyers have filed an affidavit stating that the singer has been a responsible father, providing for Imade’s education, rent, and other needs. They are seeking the court’s intervention to grant Davido joint custody of Imade.
The case has sparked debate among fans and colleagues, with some supporting Davido’s claims and others defending Momodu’s rights as a mother.
