The 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) unfolded at the Grand Arena in Accra on May 11, marking a night of music, glamour, and outstanding talent in the Ghanaian entertainment industry. The prestigious event, organized by Charterhouse and headlined by Telecel Ghana, saw artists, fans, and celebrities come together to honor the best in the music scene.
With Naa Ashorkor as the elegant host, and AJ Akuoko Sarpong and comedian Foster Romanus adding their flair, the ceremony was filled with excitement and unforgettable performances. Stars such as King Promise, Stonebwoy, King Paluta, Kweku Smoke, TiTi Owusu, and many others lit up the stage with show-stopping acts that thrilled the audience.
The awards ceremony celebrated excellence across genres, with King Promise taking home the highest honors of the night. He secured multiple awards, including the coveted Artiste of the Year, Album/EP of the Year for his album Truth to Self, and Afropop Song of the Year for his hit song “Paris.”
Stonebwoy also had a memorable night, winning Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste and Best Reggae/Dancehall Song for “Psalm 23.” Other big winners included Kweku Smoke, who was awarded Best Hiplife/Hip-Hop Artiste and Best Rap Performance, and Joe Mettle, who claimed the title of Best Gospel Artiste and Best Male Vocal Performance.
