Three women accused of baby theft to reappear in court on Aug 7
The Ofaakor Circuit Court has granted bail to three women accused of stealing a baby in Kasoa, Central Region. The women, Magdalene Nana Adwoa Boafo, and two others, were granted GH¢100,000 bail with three sureties each.
The accused women’s lawyer, Abdul Aziz Mohammed, pleaded for bail, citing that his clients were mothers who had been away from their children for an extended period.

The case involves the theft of a baby from Ms Abigail Addison, who was befriended by Boafo during her pregnancy. Boafo offered financial assistance and later took the baby two days after birth.
The suspects then introduced another woman as a medical staff member from Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, claiming the baby needed treatment.
