Nollywood icon Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) has stirred the pot with his bold take on polygamy during a recent interview on the show Curiosity Made Me Ask hosted by Isbae U.
Delving into personal beliefs and family history, RMD revealed that he doesn’t see anything wrong with a man having multiple wives.
In fact, he argued that it’s “unfair” to expect men to stick to just one woman, especially considering the realities of attraction and human relationships.
He referenced his upbringing, sharing that he grew up in a polygamous home where his father had five wives—a background that shaped his perspective on love and commitment.
Beyond the topic of relationships, the veteran actor took a moment to reflect on his academic journey. He studied Theatre and Media Arts at the University of Benin and later went on to bag two law degrees from the University of Lagos, proving that his talents go far beyond the screen.
RMD’s comments have since sparked intense debate online, with fans and critics alike weighing in on his unconventional views on marriage and commitment.
