A tragic car accident in Amakom, Kumasi, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, has claimed the life of a three-year-old boy.
The child was a passenger in a car that collided with a vehicle driven by popular Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, widely known as LilWin.
The child’s father, who was driving the car, is currently receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Initial reports suggest that LilWin and his team were en route to either his movie premiere at the CCB Auditorium at KNUST or a funeral when the accident occurred.
Videos from the scene show the aftermath of the collision, with LilWin’s car severely damaged and the actor appearing visibly shaken. LilWin was quickly transferred to another vehicle to receive urgent medical attention, while onlookers gathered, expressing their concern.
The accident has cast a shadow over what was supposed to be a celebratory day for LilWin, as he prepared for the premiere of his highly anticipated movie.
Netizens have expressed strong reactions to the incident on social media.
Alan Kyerematen 2024 tweeted, “Arrest Lil Win… He should be in Jail now…” Freddie, The Creator added, “The police should do their job and if he is the one at fault, Lil Win should be arrested and charged.”
MrDwin commented, “And he fini come do ein eyes like goat ein testicles like he be the victim.” Riches pointed out, “Am I the only one who think the child’s father should be blamed too? There’s a reason why pediatrics are supposed to be seated at the back in a car seat. For some reason, some Ghanaians think it’s a flex to have your kid seated in the front seat.”
