In a remarkable display of determination and resilience, Mohammed Yusif, a physically challenged student, was spotted taking the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) today, writing his answers with his mouth.
Despite having only one functioning hand, Yusif refused to let his disability hold him back.
The inspiring scene unfolded at a Kumasi-based examination center, where Yusif was seen diligently writing his exam with his mouth, his face set in concentration.
His determination and courage have earned him widespread admiration from teachers, students, and observers alike.
Yusif’s unwavering spirit serves as a powerful reminder that disability is not inability
. His remarkable effort has sparked a sense of pride and hope, demonstrating that with hard work and perseverance, anyone can overcome adversity and achieve their goals.
When Adom News spoke to the father of the boy, he indicated that his son is academically good and always topped his class but now he is worried he may not even be able to take care of him as he (father) is always sick and indoors too.
He said his son is good in repairing phones but since his hands don’t function well, it is now difficult for him. He also has no family members to take care of the boy as they are all out looking for their daily bread. His hope is that he is able to place his son in a way that he can cater for himself if he dies.
