The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has vowed to safeguard the rights of all Ghanaians, particularly those residing abroad.
According to him, the government remains resolute in its commitment to protect all Ghanaians.
He said this while providing an update on the investigation of the mysterious death of Nana Agyei Ahyia, a Ghanaian student studying at Riga Technical University in Latvia.
The Minister disclosed that the government receives weekly reports on the ongoing investigation.
“We receive weekly reports. WE are waiting for the final forensic report of the inquiry that the government of Latvia has established.”
He announced the intention of the government to hunt any country that undermines the rights of Ghanaians.
“Under the leadership of President Mahama and Vice President Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, you won’t touch a Ghanaian or deny any Ghanaian of his right and go scot-free. You won’t undermine the dignity of any Ghanaian and think that that Ghanaian is alone.”
He said this during an engagement with Ghanaians living in Spain as part of Vice President Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang’s visit.
