Afrobeat sensation, Davido, recently shared a personal insight into how his relationship with his wife, Chioma Adeleke, influences his career and business.
In a candid interview on the ‘Breakfast Club’, Davido opened up about how crucial Chioma’s presence is to his success in the music industry.
According to the musician, whenever he has conflicts with Chioma, his professional life tends to take a downturn.
He explained that Chioma has always had a special influence on him, stating that every time they fight, his business struggles.
“If I fight her, she will say, ‘So you’re fighting me, Abi? Your album is coming. Do you want to fight me?’ She has that grace over me,” Davido revealed.
Davido also shared that Chioma’s relationship with his children from previous relationships has grown stronger over time, especially with his daughter, Hailey.
He expressed how he was initially hesitant to introduce his kids to Chioma, but their bond has since blossomed, with the kids, particularly his daughter, showing deep affection for her.
Reflecting on their long relationship, Davido noted that he and Chioma have been together for over a decade.
They first met in school when he was 18 and Chioma was 17, and their relationship evolved from being high school sweethearts to life partners.
This heartfelt revelation underscores the deep bond between Davido and Chioma and sheds light on the integral role she plays in his personal and professional life.
