After Sarkodie’s electrifying Rapperholic Concert in London on March 6, 2026, DJ Mensah, the rapper’s personal DJ, is urging Ghanaian authorities to step up and back the music industry financially, turning such landmark events into national cultural milestones.

“This vision must be backed financially by government and made part of the official Ghana @70 calendar across all the offices that matter,” DJ Mensah wrote on Instagram, highlighting the potential of music to unite Ghanaians at home and abroad.

The London concert, held at the Royal Albert Hall, drew twenty thousand fans and millions of online viewers. DJ Mensah described the atmosphere as electric, saying, “You could feel the excitement, pride, the hunger, the connection… it even felt like the diaspora had turned the volume up higher than Accra itself.”

He envisions Rapperholic-style events becoming not just concerts, but global cultural travel experiences. Fans would book tickets, travel, and accommodations through a dedicated portal, making the celebration of Ghanaian music an international, fully coordinated experience.

“Just like we opened a portal for supporters to apply for visas for the World Cup, the same idea could apply here. Let’s make it a Ghana cultural travel moment,” DJ Mensah said.

By embedding such events into official national celebrations like Ghana @70, DJ Mensah believes the government can amplify Ghanaian culture, boost tourism, and showcase the country’s music industry on a world stage, uniting fans across continents in shared pride and celebration.
