A Ghanaian content creator, currently based in Nigeria, has stirred up a storm on social media after embarking on an audacious stunt: burying himself alive for 24 hours, all in the name of creating content for his followers.
The jaw-dropping video, shared widely across various social media platforms, elicited a flurry of reactions from netizens, ranging from concern to outright disbelief. Among the responses, one user, Ghana Nyobi, humorously speculated whether the content creator was hiding under his girlfriend’s bed, injecting a dose of levity into the discussion.
However, not all reactions were lighthearted. Some users expressed genuine apprehension for the creator’s safety, with Sey cautioning him to “keep rehearsing [his] death” and Goldberg raising concerns about the risk of falling asleep inside the makeshift grave.
Others, like Rich Dawg, pondered the existential implications of the stunt, musing on the inevitability of death amidst the quest for online content. Meanwhile, MB Solutions suggested that the creator was simply following instructions, using content creation as a convenient cover-up.
The controversial stunt also drew comparisons to global trends, with Dieme likening it to the “killer challenge” phenomenon and Freedom humorously suggesting that the content creator had set up shop inside a market seller’s box.
Perry offered a more critical perspective, speculating that the creator may have been influenced by an American counterpart, highlighting the pervasive influence of international media on local content creators.
