Big Akwes has expressed dissatisfaction with President Akufo-Addo for not keeping his promises.
The actor claimed that Nana Addo had misled them by not keeping his promise to the movie industry.
During his conversation with Empress Gifty on “U Cook”, Big Akwes expressed his discontent with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Nana Addo’s administration.
He stated that the NPP is the most deceptive political party in Ghana and Akufo-Addo misled the people.
He remembered that in 2016, the president pledged to help the film industry, prompting him as an actor to actively promote his campaign.
Based on this, he expressed his complete backing for the NDC.
“The NPP is the most deceitful political party. President Akufo-Addo was dishonest with us. On August 3, 2016, we had a meeting with him, during which he made a commitment to back the film industry.”
His promise instilled trust in me. He mentioned that despite supporting his campaign in 2016, the leader has not accomplished anything since taking office.
Akwes reiterated his backing for ex-President John Mahama.
“I am a committed NDC member and possibly the first actor in the movie industry to publicly support the party. I have utilized the Good Government Card to raise funds for Mahama’s campaign,” he mentioned.
Big Akwes claimed that independent candidate Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar) is unaware of his own statements. In what way can he assert that he will transport the sea to Kumasi? “Could that be achievable?”
