Sally Mann, an entertainment analyst, is pushing the government to help Afronitaaa and Abigail, Ghana’s energetic dance team, who recently brought pride to the nation on Britain’s Got Talent.
Sally Mann underlined the need for institutional support to enable the pair improve their skills and represent Ghana on international forums while speaking on Power FM in Accra. She proposed that the government should invite the dancers to masterclasses and allow them to travel to creative arts events with the president.
“It’s not too much for the government to support these talented young women,” Sally Mann said. “They’ve done so well on their own, imagine what they could achieve with a little help. It’s our responsibility to nurture our talents and showcase them to the world.”
Afronitaaa and Abigail, who were self-funded contestants on Britain’s Got Talent, impressed judges and fans alike with their mesmerizing performances, ultimately clinching third place.
Their achievement has been celebrated by various institutions and personalities, including Vice-President Dr. Bawumia, the University of Ghana, and former president John Dramani Mahama. In fact Ghana is proud of them.
Sally Mann’s call for government support echoes the need for Ghana to invest in its creative industry and nurture talents like Afronitaaa and Abigail, who have the potential to put Ghana on the global map.
