Okyeame Kwame Reveals Kwabena Kwabena’s Secret Contributions At OK@50

Veteran Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame used the stage at his ‘OK@50’ celebration to spotlight a long-overlooked collaborator, revealing that Kwabena Kwabena played key roles in some of his biggest records.

“Do you know that this guy sang “wakoyɛ abo musuo, wakoyɛ abo musuo wadi kala fɛfɛ bi akyi, wanko ne maame ayie?” he said.

“Do you also know that Kwabena Kwabena was the one who sang the chorus for my song Faithful? He also played the keyboard for Small Small.”

The revelation drew admiration from the audience, as Okyeame Kwame further expressed appreciation for his colleague and friend.

“Kwabena, I love you very much,” he added.

Kwabena Kwabena, visibly touched, reciprocated with warm praise for Okyeame Kwame’s artistry.

He mentioned ‘Woara’, one of Okyeame Kwame’s tracks featuring Raquel, as one of his personal highlights.

“I love you too, my brother. You have done so much for the industry and you’re worth celebrating. But there’s this song that you did, it blows my mind. I wish it was mine,” he said before breaking into a rendition of the track.

The two musicians later performed ‘Woara’ together, thrilling guests with their chemistry and shared musical history.
