A daring theft attempt in Kasoa Papase was foiled by vigilant residents who apprehended a woman after she brazenly stole items from a room. The culprit was swiftly handed over to the authorities as the community rallied against criminal activity in their neighborhood.
A woman from Kasoa seized an opportunity to pilfer items from a room in Kasoa Papase. However, her illicit endeavor was short-lived as vigilant residents caught her in the act and swiftly intervened to prevent her escape.
Witnesses recount how the woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, was seen sneaking into a room and emerging with stolen items in hand. Alerted by the commotion, residents quickly mobilized and cornered the thief before she could flee the scene.
In a viral video. residents are heard questioning her and asking if she has accomplices, She however denied saying that she is just roaming about and happened to find the key.
With the culprit apprehended, the residents wasted no time in delivering her to the local authorities.
Findings reveal that this woman had previously trailed a trader from Accra Central to Amasaman Nsakina last year.
Subsequently, she was discovered locked inside another individual’s room, prompting occupants to forcibly enter.
Upon inspection, she was found in possession of a bag filled with clothes belonging to the occupant. Law enforcement officers were summoned, and despite initial detention, she was subsequently released following confirmation from a contacted family member, affirming her mental instability.
