Nigerian activist and social critic, VeryDarkMan, has stirred controversy once again, this time announcing a diss track aimed at gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
The announcement follows Chinwo’s legal action against him, and he is set to release a track titled Body of Christ in response.
In a viral post shared on X (formerly Twitter), VeryDarkMan teased the upcoming song, revealing that he plans to feature the controversial singer, Portable, citing his “spiritual depth” as the reason for selecting him for the track. VeryDarkMan described Portable as “holier” than Mercy Chinwo, further fueling the tensions surrounding the situation.
In a video attached to the post, he expressed his belief that Portable has “the spirit of Christ” and emphasized that he wants someone “better than her” (Mercy Chinwo) to join the project.
The announcement quickly sparked reactions across social media, with fans and critics alike weighing in on the unexpected collaboration. Some users jokingly speculated that Portable might soon make his own video about the track, while others expressed amusement at VeryDarkMan’s fiery approach.
This diss track, Body of Christ, is set to drop soon, and the online community is eagerly awaiting its release.
