In a shocking turn of events, 27-year-old Oluchi Nzemechi has been arrested by Imo State Police Command for stabbing her husband, Kelechi Nzemechi, 31, to death. The incident occurred following a heated argument over a disputed share of fraudulent proceeds.

According to police spokesperson ASP Henry Okoye, Oluchi confessed to the crime, revealing that her partner had lured her into internet fraud, also known as “yahoo yahoo.” The dispute arose when Kelechi failed to give Oluchi her share of an alleged 250 Million Rupiah fraudulently obtained from an Indonesian victim.

Oluchi allegedly stabbed Kelechi with a kitchen knife during the argument and attempted to cover her tracks by leaving a threatening note on the victim’s body. The note read, “You think you can eat my money and go free, I am baba for the boys, I am coming for your wife and your child including your family.”

The police are currently investigating the incident at the State Criminal Investigation Department, and efforts are being made to recover the alleged fraudulent funds for possible return to the owner. Oluchi will be arraigned in court once the investigation is complete.

Reactions on social media have been swift, with many condemning Oluchi’s actions. “Call a spade a spade…some guys are ungrateful,” wrote one user, pointing out that Kelechi had refused to share the profits with his wife despite her standing by him during difficult times.

Others expressed sympathy for the victim, with one user saying, “May we not marry rubbish…partner that will take our life won’t find their way to our life.”

Some commenters also highlighted the importance of anger control, noting that “avoiding anything that will lead to fighting, not to talk of violent fights” is crucial.

The incident has sparked a wider conversation about relationships, greed, and the consequences of violence. As one user succinctly put it, “No matter what you’re going through in life, never resolve to making others cry while you smile…it doesn’t end well.”
